You are reading this article you were likely a subscriber to cerebralab.com.
Well, no more, I've moved my blog to be hosted on substack, and renamed it, it's now epistem.ink.
So, here's a short FAQ:
What is this blog/publication about?
Same things that cerebralab was about, the things that interest me, what that will mean I never know in advance.
I heard substack is a paid platform, is this a paid service?
No, I currently don't charge subscriptions, and even if I end up doing that I will grandfather in all subscribers from the old blog.
I prefer using RSS, can I still do that?
You can find the RSS feed at https://www.epistem.ink/feed
Or you can subscribe via email and use a service like ifttt to turn the email newsletters into RSS feeds.
What if I preferred how your old blog looked compared to substack?
Thanks,
But I actually prefer this theme.
What will happen to Cerebralab?
See the post I made there {add link here} for more information on that. TL;DR I'm archiving it.
Isn't the paywall why you left Medium?
In part, I left medium because it siloed me away from my followers, and didn't share any free articles with them. I also don't like their Spotify-like model, I much prefer substack's Bandcamp vibe.
Has anything changed other than the domain name and theme?
Yes, 5 things:
To comment you now need a substack account (take 10 seconds to make)
The reactions are gone :(
The series section is gone
Filtering by tags is gone
The emails you get for each article will contain the full text (you can still click on it to read it here)
That's all, I hope you keep enjoying my writing.
Onward, as before, slowly and with great disregard, one step forward, two backward.
Welcome
Hi, is it possible that the RSS auto migrated? Anyway, sorry for the loss of metadata, but nice new digital place!
